Creativity and technology in the age of AI

We were commissioned by Adobe to work with Andreas Pfeiffer of the Pfeiffer Report to create “Creativity and technology in the age of AI”, a research project with the goal to interview creative professionals in order to thoroughly understand the role technology plays in their creative process. The research also closely covered the role of AI and machine learning (ML), the attitudes of creative professionals to these emerging technologies, and their perceived impact on creative work.

I and Renna Okubo, my partner in Corinthians, coordinated 40 qualitative research interviews with creative professionals working in design, illustration and imaging, motion graphics and UX/UI design in the greater Tokyo area.

Aspects of the project were shared at Adobe MAX 2018, with the full report released at the end of 2018.
