Bug Nets

Bug Nets is a window Display created for Maison Hermes, within the theme "Chasing a Dream." It was constructed entirely from post-consumer materials. I created the concept and oversaw the art direction of the installation.
To create Bug Nets I worked with a small production team which assisted me with small tasks like cutting cardboard strips and assembling and painting the ants and leaves for both the main and small windows. I created all of the large creatures, and sculptural gourd pieces by hand, as well as all of the concept design and creation of the small windows. I did not build the machines that animated the creatures, and collaborated with a printer to create the tonal backdrop.
