Words to Turn a Page

I created this over a few days, or maybe it was weeks at work when I was in a job that was not the right fit. The medium simply is pen on scrap printer paper. I scribbled out the face fairly quickly and then slowly added more details.
I was feeling particularly defeated one afternoon and began writing self-deprecating script along the outline of the image. I had a moment where I shook my self out of it and began writing about what I wanted instead and it resulted in greater peace of mind and this drawing as the end result.
