Exploring Japan Part 2

Continuing my series on Exploring Japan, and tourism visual design.

In this illustration I experimented with gradients. While walking around Sensō-ji temple, the subject matter was inspired by a spur of the moment visit to the cat shrine Imado Jinja, where they say the Maneki Neko possibly originated from. Couples visit the shrine to perhaps find love.

This particular white and gold cat beckons happiness with his white colour and with wealth. I hope you find some this year!

I'm open to taking on work, part time or full time. Check out my portfolio for similar images in the 'Exploring Japan' series.
