Trainlines in Bloom

"線路満開" "Trainlines in Bloom" Ink, watercolor on paper.

This image will used as the cover for a new collaborative zine, "hajime" which will be debuting on April 14th. "hajime" is a collection of works from seven non-Tokyo-native artists (including myself) who have produced brand new, four-page artworks on the collective theme "first impressions of Tokyo." We will be holding a release party on Saturday, April 14th (18:00~22:00) where original artwork from the zine will be on display, as well as copies of the book for purchase. See our event in the "events" section, or on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/134627380701966/

The location is shared living/working/event space, ninetytwo13 in Roppongi run by Tokyo Chapter. The gallery on the second floor will be displaying our works during daytime hours from 4/15 until 4/20, so even if you cannot make it to the release part please come and check out the art.

"hajime" will also be for sale at future events and on my webstore at ericawardart.com after the 14th.

Please support this collaboration!

Artists feautured in "hajime" include canvas-creatives Julia Nascimento , Tania Vicedo , and Natalie Bleakly. Come support us on Saturday, April 14th!

This is lovely!!

Thank you, Akeem Clarke
I'm so glad you think so. I wanted something instantly recognizable as both "spring" and "Tokyo." Please do come to the exhibition 4/14~4/20 or the release party 6pm 4/24 (Saturday) if you're free!
