Ikamura Making Friends

I also like to make objects from recycled things. I really enjoy fibre arts. I made this squid from an old long-sleeved T-shirt from Muji. I drew a sketch (not really anatomically correct), cut out the pieces, then sewed it up. The suckers are made from needle felt and took ages to do. The eyelids can also be posed to open or closed. The pupils aren't sewn on so that I can vary facial expressions. It's about 50-60 cm long. I like to take into different locations and create photo narratives.

I named this squid Ikamura Gessozaburo.
