This display was featured in the 'tokonoma', at Tokyo National Museum, Ōkyokan Teahouse. The inspiration behind it is the music and how it envelops and takes us all to distant places. The central bamboo represents the core, the heart, the emotion and the revolving circles signify the power to move and enrapture us.
Materials used: bamboo, Japanese quince, lily-of-the-valley bush
(Approx. size 2m x 2m)
