The Boy - 2015

I work from many inspirations; but also work from photographs I take on our travels. This is a painting of my younger son on the beach in Waikiki - I took the photograph as he was watching the sailboat in the distance. Of course, a painting allows me to remove all the people from the water so i can capture the moment I enjoyed most - watching him, watch a sailboat.
