JAPAN, a 4kg tome is not a travel book of pretty images. This work delivers a visual narrative of what people do, how they come to do it, and how social cues via certain rituals have shaped them. The images form a cohesive vision of Japan in a unique exposure. Accompanying essays are by Peter Tasker, Stephen Mansfield, Charles Whipple, Holly Thompson, Eugene Tarshis, and Azby Brown.
