Forever waiting by George Popescu | Canvas Tokyo

This statue of an Ama diver from a time long past sits and waits forever at Onjuku train station in Chiba. Onjuku is a small town that is famous for people that go there to surf since it has a great beach as well as some surf shops and even a place you can rent boards and learn how to surf.

The statue is very detailed and looks quite attractive and lonely at the same time, the history of the Ama divers and the town of Onjuku is quite interesting as well.
