The Best Day in a Three Month Relationship

This is a story I wrote recently with illustrations by Erica Ward (I actually got in touch with her after seeing her work here on Canvas).
I've always loved writing dialog, and sometimes I enjoy writing stories based entirely around it – when I wrote this, I wanted to capture those moments of being in love and living in the moment.
At the same time, I wanted to add a layer of depth to the story, and I tried to do that with the title. My hope is that the title gives readers pause to consider what the characters say, especially after the story is finished.
I'm a Tokyo based writer who does food, coffee, and short fiction. In love with the ever constant ebb and flow of Tokyo life.
